“The first layer of intimacy, is to be intimate with oneself.”
Let’s start there.
I’m a sex positive counsellor specializing in issues around sex, sexuality, and sexual identity confusion. I work with singles and couples of every sexual orientation.
I value sexual exploration, and believe it’s important to tend to one’s sexual self at every stage of life.
I believe in the freedom to explore any sexual behaviour between consenting adults and peer-groups.
My Practice
I’m available for mid-day as well as evening appointments.
I have an office on Commercial Drive, in Vancouver, but will do sessions while on a walk, in a cafe, riding a bike, on a run in the city.
I do phone and Skype sessions.
Sessions are 55 minutes long.
$95 for a single session.
$350 for four sessions.
$80 weekly session.
Cancelations must be made at least 24 hours in advance or the full session will be charged.
About Me
I’m an openly bisexual married man with two teenaged progeny. I’ve been married to my one and only wife for over 18 years. We all live together in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
I’ve spent my entire life working with issues around sexuality. My father has been openly gay since the late ’60s. I’ve been bisexual all my life, and actively so for much of it.
My wife and I have been experimenting with an open relationship for over 3 years. I work with couples dealing with such issues.
I founded and continue to run the Meetup group “Bisexuals in Vancouver”.
I facilitate “BiFocus”, the monthly bisexual social support group sponsored by Qmunity.
I also founded and maintain “Open Marriage Vancouver”.
I give workshops and seminars on a variety of sex-related topics.
I have written a book entitled “Bi, Hung, Fit… and Married”, as well as an eponomous play, which was performed at the Vancouver Fringe Festival, September, 2012. The play and book are about a man coming to terms with bisexuality within the confines of marriage and fatherhood, and the positive changes which take place between him and his wife as a result.
My Approach
You have power over your own life. Whatever challenges you are facing, you have the ability to overcome them.
In order to change what you see on the outside, you must change what is going on inside. Specifically, your thoughts and beliefs.
We are usually the most un-cooperative element in our own lives. Are you willing to let yourself be the person you want to be, and live the life you want to live?
I enjoy working with people who identify as everything from women to men, LGBTQ, from all ages and stages of life.
I have a CEGEP degree in Social Sciences, a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing, and a Diploma of Education.
If you require a non-judgmental, confidential, sex-positive, experienced counsellor, please contact me for a complementary thirty minute consultation.
